Originally headquartered in Elk City, Oklahoma, we began operations in 2008 as CP Well Testing, Inc. It didn’t take long for us to become known and valued by the companies we serve as one of the top flowback and well testing service providers working in Oklahoma and Texas. Now headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, CP Well Testing, and Arctic Energy Services are all operating division of CP Energy Services. Arctic Energy Services provides oilfield rental equipment, and flow back & well testing services in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio. In 2019, CP welcomed Spartan to the CP Energy Group of affiliated companies. Spartan is a leading, multi-basin, oilfield services company that provides flow control, frac stacks, and well testing services throughout the United States — primarily in Texas and Louisiana.

Over 200 Years of Combined Oil and Gas Experience

CP Energy Services is led by a leadership team with over 200 years of combined professional experience, much of which has been in the oil and gas industry.

  • Mario Blanco serves as CP Energy Services and Artic Energy as CEO and CFO overseeing the accounting, operations support, internal audit, human resources and Information technology. A 14-year veteran of oilfield services, Mr. Blanco has over 24 years of experience building and leading financial teams globally. Prior to joining the company, he was an independent advisor and consultant for the oilfield sector and was VP of Finance and Operations for a large global Casing Running Tubing company. Before that, he held multiple leadership roles for small and medium sized companies in various sectors. Mario received his Bachelor’s degree from Barry University and a Master’s Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Accounting.

  • Currently President of both CP and Arctic Energy Services, Mr. Selman oversees all daily operations for CP in Oklahoma and Texas and for Arctic in Colorado, Wyoming, and North Dakota. Mr. Selman has over 34 years of professional experience— 15 years in the manufacturing industry with Security Metal Products as a fabricator and Shop Manager and the last 19 years in the oil and gas industry. He has extensive expertise in the energy services sector, specifically flowback/ well testing. Joe Don worked with Newpark Drilling Fluids (1999 – 2008) as a Rig Up and Down Foreman and as Operations Manager. He started with CP in 2008 as Operations Manager.

  • Jarad Biggs serves as CP Energy Services and Arctic Energy’s Executive Vice President, overseeing business development and marketing.  A 17-year veteran and 4th generation oilman, Mr. Biggs has experience building and leading multi-faceted, service-oriented teams.  Prior to joining CP, he was an independent contractor and advisor to several prominent E&P’s before joining Superior Energy Services in 2012, where he held various roles. Over the next 9 years he worked in a business development role throughout the lower 48, building relationships and gaining experience within the multiple service lines ranging from drilling to production.  Jarad received his bachelor’s degree in business administration while being a student athlete at Emporia State University.
